Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These terms govern your use of TickWave. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read the risk disclaimer — it matters.
1. What TickWave is
TickWave is a browser-based tool for replaying historical market data and practising trades in a simulated environment. It is an educational and analytical tool. It does not connect to a broker, does not place real orders, and does not involve real money.
2. Your account
Sign-in is passwordless: we email you a secure link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since anyone who can open a valid sign-in link can access your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse, attack, overload, probe, or attempt to bypass the security of the service;
- resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service or access to it;
- use the service to break any law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- attempt to circumvent plan limits or entitlement checks.
4. Market data & the local helper
TickWave lets you load historical price data through a helper application you run on your own computer. That data is fetched from third-party sources (currently Dukascopy) under those sources’ own terms and is intended for your personal use. You are responsible for complying with the terms of any data source you use. TickWave is not affiliated with those providers, does not grant you any rights in third-party market data, and is not responsible for its accuracy, completeness, or availability.
5. Subscriptions & billing
TickWave offers a Free plan and a paid Pro subscription. Pro is sold through Polar, which acts as our Merchant of Record and handles payment, invoicing, and applicable taxes.
- Pro is billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as you choose) and automatically renews until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Prices are shown at checkout and may change on renewal with reasonable notice.
- Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
6. Intellectual property
TickWave and its software, design, and content are owned by us and protected by law. You keep ownership of the trading inputs, notes, and backups you create; you grant us only the limited rights needed to store and provide them back to you.
7. Availability & changes
We work to keep TickWave running well but provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may update, change, or discontinue features, and we may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TickWave is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which TickWave’s operator is established, and any disputes will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
