Privacy Policy

TickWave is a browser-based trading-simulation and backtesting tool. We keep the data we collect to the minimum needed to run your account and provide the service. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run advertising or third-party tracking.
Who we are
This service is operated by the team behind TickWave (“TickWave”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected] for any privacy question or request.
What we collect
- Your email address — used to sign you in (we use passwordless magic links, so we never ask for or store a password) and to send service messages such as sign-in links.
- An optional display name — only if you choose to set one in your profile.
- Account & plan status — whether your account is on the Free or Pro plan, and the associated subscription state.
- Cloud backups (Pro, optional) — if you enable cloud backup, the workspace data you choose to back up is stored on our infrastructure so you can restore it. You control what is backed up.
- Basic technical logs — standard request logs (such as IP address and timestamps) generated by our hosting provider, used for security, abuse prevention and debugging.
Cookies
We use only strictly-functional cookies required to sign you in and keep you signed in — a secure session cookie, a lightweight “you’re probably signed in” hint, and a short-lived sign-in cookie. We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is required.
Service providers we share data with
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and storage of account and (opt-in) backup data.
- Resend — delivery of your sign-in and service emails.
- Polar — our Merchant of Record for subscription payments. When you subscribe, Polar processes your payment and billing details. TickWave never receives or stores your full card number. See Polar’s own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
These providers process data only to deliver their part of the service, under their own privacy terms. We do not sell personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data and any cloud backups, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, payment records held by our Merchant of Record for tax and accounting).
Your rights & choices
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Export your cloud backup data.
- Withdraw consent or close your account at any time.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or similar regimes.
Children
TickWave is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
